Why a virtual office and how is that green?
In today's society we are hearing more and more about global warming and that we must take action now in order to save the earth for future generations.
As research has shown we have a small window to make a difference and we need to act now. We live in a society that does not look into the future, we live in the present. This is a known fact. So, if we are a society that does indeed in live the present, then we need to challenge ourselves to begin looking into the future, if not for us but for our children and our children’s children.
By just making a few changes in our life style we can each make a difference and if each one of us just choose one or two things to help the global warming problem can you imagine what a difference we can make together?
HUGE!
By teaching the children of today, they will develop compassion to make it a priority to keep our earth safe for future generations.
We can all contribute to this change by taking small steps NOW to have a big effect LATER. While none of us can do it all, I have taken a few steps in my business that has realized a good result, both in business and in helping the environment.
HOW AM I, AS A REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONAL, GOING GREEN?
We try to do most of our marketing through E-mail and save trees by using electronic files as opposed to paper files.
Use recycled materials whenever possible.
As often as possible we meet clients in our office, where they can view properties prior to the tour on an LCD big screen TV, enabling them to see the property photos in detail, virtual tours when available, thus saving the gas and wear and tear on the environment by long driving tours to see homes that after an ‘up close’ viewing, might not be suitable.
I’m in the process of developing permanent ‘sign flyers’ instead of using take-tubes for paper flyers. This will direct the viewer to my website where they can obtain more information, instead of wasting paper on one page flyers that often get thrown away.
SO, AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE I KEEP ALL OF MY TRANSACTIONS VIRTUAL
...with an on-line closing platform so that you can view all of your documents on-line 24 hours a day. I email as much as possible, thus saving on mailings, paper and you have immediate delivery.
Little did I know that I was already helping our precious environment by going Virtual!
